SWFL Eagles ~ Harriet Dines On Carrion With Vultures! ?? 11.26.21

11/27/2021 1:01:43 PM

Lady Hawk - M is incubating the eggs and Harriet is on the attic vocal. There are vultures flying around in the pasture over some carrion on the ground. It appears to be a raccoon. Harriet flies off the attic and down to the where the carrion is located. One vulture watches her as she begins to de-fur. Harriet does not stay long and will leave it and fly towards the pond. Beginning at 3:45 we see the vultures soaring the skies over the pasture. Later, Harriet is back incubating the eggs when she flies off the nest into the pasture and begins to work on the carrion once again. One vulture tries to steal at 13:41 but Harriet flaps her wings to stay away. The vulture waits patiently - then two more vultures arrive! We now have two turkey vultures and a black vulture at 17:20. We have a scuffle with two of the vultures - the victor gets to eat along side Harriet at 17:52! They eat for several minutes before a dog interrupts them by coming under the fence on the right into the pasture at 26:35. Harriet and the vultures fly off and we get a look at the dog who will head back under the fence at 27:42. M is watching all the action from the comfort of his nest! ?? Thank you for watching!
