Lady Hawk - Harriet and M15 are enjoying some time at the nest - M is on the attic and Harriet on the veranda. We have some nice closeups of M first and then Harriet hops to the attic and vocalizes and foots M - an indication she is interested in bonding and having eggs! M understands her communication and they mate on the attic! :) Harriet preens her feathers and we have some beautiful closeups of her! We also have some extreme closeups of M and we can even see tiny brown specks in his iris! M has a little something on his feathers right above his left eye. It just adds to his rugged handsomeness! ? Later Harriet is on the outer attic gazing out at the beautiful Hunter's moon that is rising in the sky! The Hunter’s moon is the first full moon occurring after the Harvest moon which is the full moon that takes place closest to the date of the autumn equinox. As the Harvest’s Moon occurred in September, October’s big lunation is the Hunter’s moon. Its name is derived from the fact that this is a traditionally good time for hunting game in preparation for the winter months. Thank you for watching!
